A Quick Doodle Challenge

Doodles, Flowers

Good Morning, Quilters!

A quick review of a doodle challenge we first tried almost two years ago….

Glue a piece of your favorite fabric onto a sheet of paper.

Use the lines as inspiration and create your own design.  Continue some of the lines, echo other lines and mirror image some of the shapes.

This is a fun way to get your pen moving and enjoy your fabric scraps.

Work quickly–in other words, don’t think too much. Work intuitively.

If you have time, try a second fabric or stitch your design.

Better Quilting Through Doodling!

Happy Doodling!

Fare the well, fare the well…

  1. This is one of the reasons I love your blog, Lori, the ideas you come up with! I’m like, huh, why didn’t I think of that, such a good idea. Thank you!

  2. This is an idea I need to try! Like most “fabric collectors”, I have some amazing fabric with great lines and details and they’d be so much fun to draw! Thank you!
