Good Morning, Quilters!

This is one UFO off my list!  It started as a tutorial–“A” is for Apple.

And was completed with yesterday’s tutorial for The Apple Core.

I used Sulky 40 wt Rayon in white to make the apples “pop”.

Then added Sulky 40 wt Rayon in red to create a more subtle, texturized background.Apple, FMQ, Tablerunner, Quilts

A fun black and white binding and this table runner is Red Delicious!

Have fun quilting and your quilts will be fun!

  1. That beautiful red and the apples are classic and will make any space homey and cute. I love the things that add that cozy home feeling. Red just makes me smile as do the memories of playing in the farms Apple Orchard when I was little. Best apples ever!!

  2. love this. I don’t think it shows the spectacular apples at their best -needs a border treatment around each and they would be great on point on this. Need something to make them POP. Great quilting – presentation needs work – not up to your usual creative mind

  3. Lori, For a couple of weeks, the tutorials in your blog, InBoxJaunt, have your demonstration pictures coming up on the screen of my iPad about 1 inch square. This makes it almost impossible to see the stitching. It wasn’t like this before. If I click on them it takes me to a site that refers me to other areas of your blog, it does not make them bigger. I was wondering if you changed the format of your picture or blog? Are others having this problem?

      • I have an iPad and I’m not experiencing any problems – except for having a lack of time to do all the things I want to do but I guess you can’t adjust any settings to help me with that, lol.
Thanks for showing a finished product. I love it, of course!

  4. A beautiful table runner Lori; I need inspiration today as I’m having an infusion as I write; the red is stimulating. Once there is a health problem it seems maintenance is required for the long term; however, I don’t want “chalky bones!”

I’d love to make this for an “alone friend” simply to brighten her day. Thank you ever so much Lori.

    • How lovely that you are thinking of others as you soldier through your own battles! You are in my thoughts and prayers today!

  5. Not having trouble here with images being too small. Hey, loosecannon…Who said “an apple a day……etc”. I am thinking maybe 4…red delicious, and maybe gala and maybe yellow delicious and for sure granny smith..Hmm, that is 16 already! …longer than my picnic table..Spring, here we come, in spite of the snow..We will be ready for you. And we shall wear apple blossoms in our hair while we doodle and stitch away.
