  1. Congrats!! You can only imagine this joy when you experience it. Our first is now 21 and the next 5 were just as special. Fun to just watch him sleep.

  2. Congratulations, Lori. Being a grandparent is wonderful. My husband and I have 24 of them, ranging in age from 6 to 31. We are also blessed with five greatgrands.
They all bring so much love and happiness to us. Enjoy every moment; he’s adorable.

  3. Congratulations Lori. He is adorable. Enjoy every moment you have with him. I have 2 grandchildren, thought I would have had more by now with 6 boys but I love the 2 I have. They are a blessing from heaven

  4. Congrats to the whole family! What a lucky baby to have such a sharing and loving grandmother. God Bless!

  5. Congratulations. They bring so much joy to your life. My one and only is now 4 and he is so much fun at this age. They grow much to fast. Again, the best to all the family Sue

  6. Congratulations! Our first grandchild is now two and he now has a sister, three months. They are so precious and we enjoy having them come to visit and stay overnight. I hope your grandson lives close so you can visit him often. He will change every visit the first year. Enjoy!

  7. Congratulations. I am a grandmother of 4 delightful children. The joy never ends. A child is a way God gives us a little piece of what heaven is like–love, innocence, joy, beauty. You have no idea how much joy your future holds. Enjoy every minute.

  8. Congratulation! Such a beautiful baby. I’m sure there was a lovely quilt made by Grandma to welcome him.

  9. CongratuLations…it is indeed the best news. We just experienced the arrival of,our 3rd grandchild. What I remember even more sweet than the first child himself was the love and joy as our son & daughter-in-law grew into parents. That was an initial reaction…the change & growth of the grandson soon took first place. I hope you are a car ride away…not a plane ride!
Also, I am new to your blog and am enjoying all the machine quilting information. I have limited internet capacity so I just check out the photos rather than the videos but I can get the key points with the photos and info you include. Thank you!

  10. Congratulations to you and yours. Gods greatest gift and blessing is a baby. We only have 5 grandchildren, wish there were more! Just had our 5th in July, little Nevin Kayann. So much fun with a little one around, love the bonding of siblings and cousins. Life is perfect!

  11. Congratulations! What a wonderful gift!! And… THANK YOU for all the tutorials. I don’t have the time to do them as of now, but when life settles, I will try to follow! You are amazing at what you can do with a sewing machine!! I am so happy that I discovered your blog!

  12. Congratulations, Lori! He really is “cute as a button.” What is it about the name Henry that has brought about it’s resurgence in the last 10 years? I’m sure you will enjoy him every chance you get.

  13. Congratulations, Lori! Little ones are such a joyous blessing! Your family is surely filled with the wonder of this precious newborn.

  14. I just became a gramma (and hubbs a great grampa) three months ago.
First time, oldest daughter Christina. Sarah is sooooo beautiful.
They only live 9 miles away
My parents live 4 miles away and my daughter and SIL go to them once a week now for a visit. So sweet. My parents are so old and they love being great grandparents.

  15. Congratulations Lori!! I got grandchild number 3 in February and he is a Henry also! There is nothing better on earth than being a grandma! Now you can get ready and quilt like mad for Henry!

  16. Congrats, Grandma!! I too am looking forward to a similar event. I’ve been making quilts for future grandchildren (that I thought I may never meet), but now with one daughter (and soon two daughters) finally settling down and getting married and wanting families, I may be able to give these quilts to my “little darlings” in person!!
Bet it’s one of the most wonderful life’s experiences ever!!!!!!!
