Sulky Thread, Free Motion QuiltingGood Afternoon, Quilters!

It’s Monday…I did all my paper work, took the dogs for a walk,  and most of the laundry…(And I finished the Tuesday Tutorial…)

So I stole a few moments to play with this gorgeous array of Sulky thread I recently received!

Sulky Thread, Free Motion QuiltingGot-to-go…Still have a long list of Monday chores…

Hope YOU have a few stolen moments for quilting or doodling!

  1. Lori, it would take me all day or maybe 2 to get something like this completed or now that I think of it, maybe a month. Thank you for your enthusiasm & motivation. This is a down day for me but I am finding all sorts of quilting & crafting on FB to keep me from being bored out of my mine!

I so look forward to The Inbox Jaunt in my mail box. Know that you are very talented & your generosity is awe inspiring. Thank you ever so much.

  2. Lori, love those designs and that color. That would take me many moments of thought and planning and not in one day!! You are so inspiring.

    • Hi Eliza,

I have been using Sulky Rayon for FMQ for more than 15 years and I love it! Gorgeous sheen, great colors–makes your stitches look better. I use cotton in the bobbin though–seems to create a better stitch on my machine.

      • I know I should try new threads, techniques etc., but sometimes the negativity makes me pause. I think I’ll just have to buy some thread and make my own determinations. Thanks for the reply. I absolutely love your designs and I try to practice every chance I get. I love your tutorials.

  3. Thanks for more stimulations on how to FMQ. I wish I was as quick as you are. I don’t seem to be able to go very fast or accomplish much these days. We have just moved to our summer home and hopefully I can get caught up with all your lessons once I get this new place furnished. Thanks for the inspiration.

  4. I’m drooling in envy. All those lovely Sulky threads. I’ve used them successfully many times and my machine behaves very nicely when I use that brand. Not something I can say about others.

  5. For Elizajane 120: I prefer to do machine quilting with Sulky threads for my heavy duty, everyday bed quilts. Have never had any problems with this thread other than it’s hard to find in the shops around where I live. Don’t be afraid–you may just like the effect you get with Sulky threads! 🙂

We'd LOVE to hear! Please reply...
