Graveyard Quilting

Free Motion Quilting, Graveyard, Tombstones, Quilts, Doodle Yesterday we talked about being ready when inspiration strikes

This little doodle found its way to my sketchbook last week…

and with just 30 minutes to stitch…

I will change things a bit when I make this into a small “vase quilt”…The good news…I got the ideas onto fabric and I now I have and idea of what works and what doesn’t.  A good start…

It will have to wait until next Halloween…I’m already doodling Thanksgiving, Christmas….

Do YOU have twenty minutes to stitch today?

What are YOU going to stitch?

(You might try The Spider Web free motion quilt tutorial-it was a big favorite last year!   See the Spider Web quilt, too!)

Happy stitches,

  1. I like that you are so practical and creative in your teaching of free motion. I have not put everything into use, but have the ideas handy for when the mood strikes, which is just about always! Thanks for the inspiration you provide to me and the encouragement to keep moving ahead in my FM journey. Love the Halloween motif!

  2. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE getting your emails and your web site!! I’m new to FMQ, really new, I want to do this so bad!! Trying to figure out where to start!! You are so inspiring don’t stop!!

  3. Wow, that would take me months to finish. Of course a better machine would be in line before I start anything like that. Cool idea. I think my daughter would love a wall hanging like that.

  4. Another great design!! I have been on a quilting marathon this week – I’ve actually quilted 5 quilts this week…no custom quilting, but they are ready for binding and gifting!
