  1. How many times have I had to stitch something just before going out the door for me or one of the boys. What a lovely painting xx

  2. Lorie, is there a book of women sewing or do you look for these on your own? I think a pictorial history of women sewing throughout time & cultures would be a lovely coffe table book or educational resource.

  3. Thank you for sharing this painting and the link to the Artists and Art Blog. I have enjoyed paging through that blog. The women William Henry Margetson painted remind me of the ladies of Downton Abbey. Love the softness of the colors. It was a surprise to see the one garden walk painting nestled in between so many lovely women.

  4. Beautiful pictures of beautiful women. I loved the detail in his works. Thanks for sharing. The pixs make me want to know more about the artist.

  5. You can see how much the artist loved his subject. All of the paintings were beautiful. I must make the time to view more art work. Appreciate your tutorials and thank you for giving us such interesting things to look at.

  6. So pretty and my fave shade of orange. Just visited the link site. “At the Cottage Door” is definitely my fave and ALL the rest come in close 2nd!!!!! LOL! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!

  7. This is so beautiful! I love the softness he captured in his work. And I’m stunned by the detail he achieved with watercolor. I love the lace he painted so clearly here. Thanks for the education. I appreciate getting to know more artists.
