And the Winner Is…

Pear, Free Motion QuiltingBefore I announce the winner…

Thank you to all of you who entered.  One thing is clear, followers of The Inbox Jaunt love Christmas, stocking stuffers, reading fiction and GIVEAWAYS!

That’s good news —because we have several more giveaways this month...Aurifil thread, stencils, a King Arthur Flour cookbook, Bernina accessories–and a Christmas vase quilt stitched by Yours Truly!  So stay tuned…

I have a real gift of a Tuesday Tutorial for you this week, and later in the week, we will be working on stitching a partridge to go with the pear above...including my first ever offer of a PDF…keep your fingers crossed–as you know, I am much more comfortable stitching than computing…

Without further ado…the winner of Secret Santa and Between Heaven and Texas by NY Times best-selling author, (and provided by the author), Marie Bostwick...

The winner is:  Patricia Faye!  Congratulations Patricia Faye.  Please contact me at my e-mail address: lckennedy@hotmail.com

Good luck to everyone else in the upcoming giveaways!

  1. Lori, the pear is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Would it be possible, on occasion, to place a ruler, measuring tape or coin near your finished motif? Sometimes I guess at the finished size based on the distance between the rails as specified in your instructions. I’m somewhat embarassed to say that I’ve never tried any of your tutorials and mostly enjoy the eye candy.

Oh. And I’m about halfway through Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and am quite enjoying it. Thanks for the recommendation.

  2. Lori, I love that your FMQ technique is so different than the Craftsy FMQ instructors. It is so nice to have lots of different technique options! Always look forward to Tutorial Tuesdays. Love you blog header!

  3. Lori, I just love the sewing machine motif that shows on this page. Do you have a tutorial for it? I can’t seem to find it. I recently filled a border with the thread spools from one of your earlier tutorials and absolutely loved the way it turned out. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful ideas!!!!

    • I haven’t done a tutorial for it. I think I just improvised…I can do a sewing machine for the New Year. BTW…I’d love to see your quilt with spools…could you post a photo to Flickr?

  4. THANK YOU Lori!
I am so excited to win the Secret Santa and Between Heaven and Texas by Marie Bostwick. She is one of my favorite authors. I love your blog & have sent you an email with my mailing information. Thank you again for a great give-away!

  5. Lori that made for an exciting weekend and was so fun reading everyones idea’s for stocking stuffers! Congrat’s to Patricia! I am traveling home to WY from sunny FL tomorrow since it’s supposed to warm up to almost 0…shouldn’t be too bad. ! haha! Will be dieing to check out the new tutorial all day! Can’t wait. 🙂 Thanks for all the fun! 🙂

  6. Lori, that pair is beautiful!!! I’d take a Craftsy class with you. Your FMQ designs are so unique and fun. I’d even come to you to take a class.

  7. I’d like to make some mini quilts using fruit motifs but can’t find a tutorial for your pear or apple. Have you done other fruit? Do you have tutorials for them or can you give me some tips on how to interpret a design I find that I like but that has no tutorial with it? I love the way you are so clear on your instructions in your tutorials.

      • Thank you for responding so quickly. I am impressed that you read and consider your reader’s comments. I respect that. I am also interested in the apple and other fruits if you have them. I’m thinking of making some mini quilts or placemats using your designs.
